(TORONTO) October 30, 2008 – Women’s Team Canada (WTC) is proud to announce its roster for the 2009 Women’s World Championships to be held in Pilzen, Czech Republic in June 2009.
General Manager, Sophie Dagenais, could not have sounded happier with the composition of the club. “This team is comprised of highly talented, dedicated and diverse players led by an experienced, passionate and motivated coaching staff” Similar sentiments were echoed by Head Coach, Chris Pellerin, “players of this team were brought together because they each bring a unique set of skills and expertise to the team. Twenty-four players, 10 of which are returning from the 2007 team, have been selected from across the country to defend Canada’s 2007 title of World Champions. WTC is also proud to announce the six supporting staff members.
