Happy 20th Birthday Delta
Minor Ball Hockey Association! |
|
April
26th, 2008 |
|
On
behalf of the BC Ball Hockey Association and its members I am honored to
wish Delta Minor Ball Hockey Association a Happy 20th Birthday!
The significance of this achievement is
a testament to the great dedication of the people who founded the
organization and to those who have maintained and grown it. The Delta Minor
Ball Hockey Association is a pioneer of youth ball hockey not only in
British Columbia, but in this country as a whole. What the Canadian and BC
Ball Hockey Association represents today in youth sports would never have
been achieved without the success and support of the Delta Minor Ball Hockey
Association.

Over the last few
years, ball hockey has taken off and all association's from minor to adult
levels have seen steady growth. It is a sport that can be easily played by
all on almost any surface you can find. Many ball hockey players play the
game as a fun activity amongst friends and co-workers, for others it can be

CBHA New Penalty Standards |
|
December
5th, 2007 |
|
The BC Ball Hockey Association is encouraging all Member Leagues to
adopt the CBHA New Penalty Standards for the upcoming 2008 season. The new
standards are designed to open up the game and allow players and the game to
advance in skill level. These standards are or have been implemented across
the country already and will be enforced in 2008 at the BC Provincial
Championships, Western Canadian Championships and the Canadian Sr. and Jr.
National Championships. The BC Ball Hockey Association Executive feels it is
in the best interest of all BCBHA Member Leagues on behalf of their teams to
adopt these new standards and help the teams in their respective leagues
prepare for these major tournaments and more importantly overall to improve
the standard of play in the province.
The BCBHA will be including the
New Penalty Standards in our 2008 Referee Clinics to properly train BC
officials and ensure the utmost consistency in officiating throughout the
province. If your league or Referee-In Chiefs have any questions regarding
these standards please contact our Technical Director Steve Erickson for
further clarification at
technical@bcbha.com. |
